Job Description

Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, as a counter salesperson you will be responsible for greeting and serving customers at our sales counter, ensuring the merchandise is attractively displayed, and assisting in the warehouse.

Your main tasks:

  • Greet and serve Customers in a professional manner in person and on the phone;
  • Process customer orders, which includes picking the order from the warehouse, carrying merchandise to the customer's vehicle when necessary;
  • Promote sales of focus and complimentary products, and suggest alternative or associated products as needed;
  • Respond to various product enquiries including price and delivery information for items not in stock;
  • Maintain the counter area clean, organized and restock as needed; set up new displays;
  • Offloading trucks, receiving merchandise, preparing and shipping orders, keeping the warehouse tidy and products in right locations;
  • Locate related Customer back-orders and advise Customer of their arrival;
  • Assist the Inside Sales team as needed.


What weโ€™re looking for:

  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Good merchandising skills and product application knowledge;
  • Team player, with a positive professional attitude;
  • Good communication and organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of English written and spoken;
  • Demonstrated initiative to self-improvement of your business and product skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines;
  • At ease with computers;
  • Able to handle items under 50lbs;
  • Valid forklift certificate is an asset; otherwise training will be provided.
